ISRS Seminar: Malka Margalit and Eyal Rosenstreich: Loneliness and hope during childhood and adolescence: Personal and interpersonal perspectives
32 people from Israel, UK, Poland, Malta, Turkey and Hong Kong took part in 1st ISRS online Seminar given by Professors Malka Margalit and Eyal Rosenstreich from Peres Academic Center of Tel Aviv University on 28th January 2021.
Professor Margalit presented the research on loneliness, including its relationship to solitude, to hope, to family life (and parents’ loneliness), to schooling, and to wider social contexts. As well as explaining the nature and sources of childhood loneliness, especially in the time of the pandemic, the presentation discussed possible ways of preventing loneliness and possible interventions.
